Oct. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Gold and silver rose after crude oil rallied and the dollar weakened against the euro, boosting the appeal of the precious metals as hedges against inflation.

October 09, 2007 NY gold futures turn up early on physical buying NEW YORK, Oct 9 (Reuters) - U.S. gold futures reversed initial losses to rise early on Tuesday on physical buying and bargain-hunting, as bullion investors continued to closely follow the currency markets ahead of the release of the Federal Reserve meeting minutes.
